Examinations at the university will not be able to be held face-to-face from April 5 to May 2, except for exceptions provided in particular for health studies, said the Ministry of Higher Education in a press release Friday evening.
"For the period from April 5 to May 2 inclusive, all exams organized by higher education establishments will have to be held at a distance or be postponed", writes the ministry, specifying however that "several exceptions are foreseen".
The exceptions include "the examinations of health training which can be maintained in person (PACES, PASS, L.AS)", as well as the entrance exams to the grandes écoles, whose health protocol had been strengthened in the 'year.
Health protocol unchanged for universities
While Emmanuel Macron announced Wednesday evening a new four-week confinement effective from Saturday evening with the closure of schools, the Ministry of Higher Education clarified that the protocol remained unchanged for universities.
Since the end of January, a maximum level of 20% of the reception capacity has been tolerated, i.e. one day of presence per week for each student.
But a majority of students ask for even more face-to-face to avoid dropping out.
