National Ocean Forecasting Station: There will be two big waves in my country’s coastal waters in the coming week and need to pay attention to sea trips during the Ching Ming holiday

  Today (2nd), the National Ocean Forecasting Station issued a sea state forecast for the next week (April 3-9, 2021). It is estimated that there will be two major waves in the coastal waters of my country.

  1. Affected by the cooperation of cold air and cyclones, people traveling on the sea during holidays need to pay attention to the sea conditions in advance:

  It is expected that from April 3 to 4, there will be a large wave area of ​​2.5 to 3.5 meters in the Bohai Sea and the southern part of the Yellow Sea;

  It is expected that from April 4th to 5th, the East China Sea, the Taiwan Strait, and the northeastern part of the South China Sea will successively appear in the middle to large waves of 2 to 3 meters.

  2. Affected by the cold air, it is expected that on April 8, there will be 2 to 3 meters of medium to large waves in the southern part of the East China Sea, the Taiwan Strait, and the northern part of the South China Sea.

  In addition, it is expected that there may be one severe temperate storm surge process along the coast of my country in the coming week.

  The National Ocean Forecasting Station reminded that the early part of the week was the Ching Ming Festival holiday. Due to the influence of wind and waves, sea fog and other processes, pay attention to safety when working at sea or traveling by boat.
