For his last drawing on the front page of Le Monde, which adorned the edition dated Thursday, April 1, Plantu chose to show President Macron at the Elysee Palace, spinning and not knowing, a few hours before his speech, what new measures announce against Covid-19.

About twenty cartoonists from Cartooning for Peace, an association of which he is the founder and honorary president, welcomed his departure from the newspaper by taking up elements often used by Plantu, like Cristina, who brought together many many French politicians.

The Portuguese illustrator lives in Lisbon, where she has worked since 1986 for several national and international magazines and newspapers such as Expresso, Kleine Zeitung, Courrier international, Boston Globe, Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.

She has also worked in animation, multimedia, scenography and published several children's books.

Plantu also has a signed drawing for this special gallery.
