Wakayama Prefecture announced on the 1st that it was confirmed that a total of 17 men and women from elementary school children under the age of 10 to those in their 70s were newly infected with the new coronavirus.
The number of infected people has been in the double digits for three consecutive days.
This brings the number of confirmed infections in Wakayama Prefecture to 1,304.
