Recently, the centralized burial ceremony for the relocation of the tombs of scattered buried martyrs in Mengzi City, Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province was held in the Mengzi Martyrs Cemetery.
More than 200 people, including the Bureau of Veterans Affairs, military representatives, and representatives of martyrs' relatives from Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province attended the ceremony.
With the music of "The Dawn of Heroes", the coffins of eight scattered martyrs such as Wei Zixiang and Zhao Huai were covered with national flags, and they were escorted by soldiers from the front entrance of the cemetery to the platform in front of the monument to the martyrs.
Participants in the ceremony deeply cherished the memory of the martyrs and paid homage to the loyal soul by bowing, silently paying tribute, and presenting flowers.
It is reported that the Veterans Affairs Bureau of Mengzi City, Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province has recently launched a series of activities such as "Looking for Martyrs" and "Finding Relatives for Martyrs" with the theme of "Heroes and Martyrs", and a total of scattered burial sites of martyrs in its jurisdiction have been identified6 Place.
According to the "Law on the Protection of Heroes and Martyrs of the People's Republic of China" and "Methods for the Burial of Martyrs", the scattered tombs of martyrs were moved to the cemetery for centralized burials.
