The breakdown is 73 for Saitama Prefecture, 29 for Saitama City, 14 for Kawaguchi City, 12 for Koshigaya City, and 4 for Kawagoe City.
With this, a total of 32,957 people have been announced as infected in the prefecture.
Kawaguchi City also announced that a woman in her 80s infected with the new coronavirus has died.
As a result, 701 people have been confirmed infected and died in the prefecture.
