The investigation started in the fall.

Alerted by an inhabitant of Bégard, in the Côtes d'Armor, the gendarmes had discovered the lifeless body of a woman in a dwelling house in this small town located between Guingamp and Lannion.

The autopsy carried out had confirmed the first suspicions and revealed a death by overdose.

Six months after this macabre discovery, the gendarmes have just arrested four people suspected of being at the origin of drug trafficking, mainly heroin.

Led by the Guingamp Research Brigade, the investigation identified four suspected dealers and "many clients".

Monitored for several months, the main defendants were arrested on the morning of March 30 in the area of ​​Lannion, Rospez and Bégard.

About twenty gendarmes were mobilized for this crackdown, including a dog team who came to reinforce Rennes.

A cannabis field discovered in the same town

During the searches, the investigators got their hands on "200 grams of heroin, 400 euros resulting from the sale of narcotics, thirty grams of herbal cannabis, ten tablets of ecstasy as well as a few grams of cocaine and cannabis resin ”, specifies the gendarmerie.

In 2019, a cannabis field was discovered in the same town of Bégard, and 150 feet had been seized in the middle of a wood.

Tried at Saint-Brieuc in an appearance in prior recognition of guilt (CRPC), the four accused received sentences ranging from eight months suspended to fifteen months in prison, eight of which closed for the man most involved.

The spouse of one of the main defendants was sentenced to six months suspended.

Two individuals were taken into custody following the hearing.
