In the early morning of March 30, a forest fire broke out in Maoshan Town to Zucun, Luquan County, Kunming City, Yunnan Province.

As of 12:00 on the 31st, a total of 301 people from the Kunming Detachment of Yunnan Forest Fire Brigade participated in the rescue.

Due to the high wind and complex terrain of the fire site, the special service team of the Kunming Detachment and the Kunming Brigade stood on the northeast and north lines to deal with the fire and sporadic smoke points that appeared at any time.

The directly affiliated brigade handled the fire and smoke points in the complex terrain on the western line of the fire site to prevent repeated re-ignition due to increased wind.

It is understood that the vegetation on the fire site is mostly oilseed sweater, Yunnan pine and miscellaneous shrubs. The vegetation is dense, southwest wind is 5-6, the average altitude is 2300 meters, the slope is about 50°, and the terrain is steep in many places.

On the north side of the fire site, there are more than 320 people from 70 households in Zhizu Village, and key protection targets such as the first yellow fir tree and tree group in central Yunnan.

At present, through the joint efforts of all commanders, the northern and northeastern lines of the fire site have been basically controlled, and there are some sporadic fire and smoke spots in the complex terrain of the northwest line.

At present, a total of about 5 kilometers of fire lines have been extinguished at the scene, 6 kilometers of fire lines have been cleared, and nearly 50 large and small fires and smoke points have been wiped out.

The rescue work is still in progress.
