[Explanation] It has been 25 years since the "Nanda Corpse Case" occurred. Although the Nanjing police never gave up looking for the murderer, the case has not been solved yet.

On March 29, Diao Aihua, the sister of the victim Diao Aiqing, came to the People's Court of Gulou District, Nanjing City and sued Nanjing University for the murder of Diao Aiqing that year.

　　Previously, Diao Aiqing’s family communicated with the school. The school asked their family to wait for notification at home on the grounds that the criminal case had not been detected.

Their family believed that in this case, the school would definitely actively assume their responsibilities, but after 25 years, (Diao Aiqing) parents felt that they were old and hoped to know the truth in the rest of their lives, so they filed a lawsuit.

　　We require the school to bear death compensation and funeral expenses, as well as mental damage compensation, totaling 1.62 million yuan.

From the perspective of Diao Aiqing's family, they do not lie in the amount of compensation that the court ultimately supports, but also hope that the school can give an explanation.

Back then, Diao Aiqing was a student at Nanjing University, and the school should provide her with an obligation to ensure safety.

At the same time, the school dormitory administrator abused the power of punishment, causing the innocent Diao Aiqing to be punished, resulting in Diao Aiqing not returning home at night, and this murder occurred.

Therefore, the school should also bear corresponding responsibilities for this.
