The hot pot restaurant involved responded that the restaurant did not prohibit smoking before, "this is our responsibility", and smoking is now banned in the restaurant.
The catering company involved stated that the store violated the anti-smoking regulations and fined 50,000 yuan. If similar incidents occur again, its qualification to join will be cancelled.
On the afternoon of March 30, Ms. Xiao told The Paper (www.thepaper.cn) that on the 29th, when she and her friends were eating at a hot pot restaurant in Xi’an Middle Road, Jinniu District, Chengdu, several male customers at the adjacent table smoked in the store. But after eating, the male customers continued to chat and smoke in their seats.

The video she provided showed that in a restaurant, when the videographer stopped a man from smoking, the two sides had a quarrel, after which the man suddenly poured the liquid in the cup onto the videographer.
On the afternoon of the 30th, a staff member of the restaurant involved confirmed to The Paper that on the 29th, there were indeed customers in the store who had quarreled due to smoking problems.
When there was a dispute between the two table guests, the restaurant staff did not pay attention to it for the first time, "(This is) our service is not in place. It is indeed our problem. Later when the dispute was more serious, 110 had already come."
The staff member said that after the incident, the restaurant had offered to waive orders for customers who stopped smoking as an apology.
But they did not accept, and left after checking out by themselves, "We would like to contact the parties to apologize."
The above-mentioned staff also introduced that the restaurant did not prohibit smoking before, "this is our responsibility."
After the incident, since March 30, the restaurant has been expressly banned from smoking. If guests smoke, the staff will discourage them; if they do not listen to dissuasion, the restaurant will not accept such customers.
According to Ms. Xiao, they reported to the police when the incident occurred, and then the police took the two tables to the police station for mediation.

On the same day, Sichuan Sanzhiwa Weijue Catering Management Co., Ltd. issued a statement stating that the store involved was Weizhijue Xi'an Middle Road franchise store.
It was verified that the store did violate the national “No Smoking in Indoor Public Places” regulations, which affected the consumer experience of customers.
The company decided:

3.
