On the evening of March 30th, Tan Yaozong, a member of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, returned to Hong Kong after attending the 27th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People’s Congress held in Beijing. Annex 1 and Annex 2 of the Basic Law have plugged loopholes in the governance structure of anti-China chaos in Hong Kong through elections, and restored the original intent of the Basic Law.
He believes that after the electoral system is perfected, Hong Kong's democratic progress can continue to move forward.
