On March 30, at a regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a foreign media reporter asked whether Chinese netizens' boycott of H&M and other companies was promoted by the Chinese government. In response, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said that China has 1.4 billion people, everyone has their own head, their own thoughts, and everyone has the right to express their thoughts and feelings online.

You can’t just see some comments on the Internet that you don’t like or want to hear, and you think it’s requested or instigated by the Chinese government.

This is a serious misunderstanding and prejudice against China.

"The merits of this matter are very clear. The Chinese people and Chinese consumers have the right to make their own choices." (produced by Zhou Jing)
