Land of immigration, Quebec often comes up against a major problem in integrating newcomers into the labor market.

Several professions, such as those of architects, doctors, nurses and engineers are regulated by professional orders.

Publicity

To exercise these trades, it is necessary to obtain recognition of one's diplomas or to re-train.

Aware of the obstacles to be overcome for immigrants, the government is proposing from April 1 a public program of 3 million euros over 4 years.

It will finance certain costs of professional examinations or additional training.

These measures, however, leave many organizations and immigrants unsatisfied.
