In the video, a Croatian holds himself underwater for about half an hour

A Croatian man broke his world record for holding breaths underwater, after having managed to hold out for about half an hour.

The British newspaper "Daily Mail" reported that Podemir Buda Chubat, 54, managed last weekend to set a new record under water, reaching 24 minutes 33 seconds.

Schobat made this attempt in a swimming pool in the town of Sisak, under the supervision of a number of doctors and correspondents.

Before the start of the challenge, Podemir inhaled as much pure oxygen as possible to increase its level inside his body, then dipped his head under the water without any breathing equipment.
