It is widely adopted by the public, and the final publication shall prevail.

"Some people understand it wrong, not because they are not allowed to bring (mobile power banks), but because they are not allowed to be used."

A reporter from the Beijing Youth Daily inquired about previous reports and learned that because there have been a few accidents such as sudden explosions and smoking of charging equipment in rail transit systems in many places, many places in my country have urged passengers to "when taking the subway. Please try not to use mobile power banks to charge electronic devices."

Proposed to ban mobile charging treasures to attract attention

On March 26, the official website of the Xi'an Municipal Transportation Bureau issued a notice on soliciting opinions on the "Code for Passengers of Urban Rail Transit in Xi'an (Draft for Comment)".

The "Code" mainly includes a total of 17 items such as ticket management, passenger prohibited behavior, civilized riding regulations, and emergency management.

Among them, in Article 7 "Passengers entering stations and riding trains are prohibited from following behaviors", item 12 is "Smoking at stations and trains, lighting open flames, and using mobile charging objects".

It is reported that the "Code" will solicit public opinions on platforms such as the Xi'an Transportation Bureau, the official website of Xi'an Rail Transit Group, and the WeChat public account of "Xi'an Metropolitan" and "Xi'an Metro".

"The public is requested to log in to the relevant media to view the "Code" and provide valuable opinions and suggestions from March 26 to April 1 so that we can further modify and improve them and provide the general public with better subway travel services." The notice said.

The announcement aroused the attention of netizens.

"Why restrict mobile power banks?" "If you don't need power banks, how do you leave the station if your phone is out of power?" Some netizens commented.

Some netizens commented, "The power bank can be charged in a bag or pocket. How can the staff find out if the passenger is charging with the power bank?"

  Xi'an Transportation Bureau:

Currently in the stage of soliciting opinions, subject to the final release

On March 29, a reporter from the Beijing Youth Daily called the advisory number on the notice. A staff member said that he had paid attention to relevant online comments. Recently, he received telephone feedback from the public on the "plan to ban mobile charging treasures".

"Some people have misunderstood. According to the content of the "Code", it is not forbidden to carry mobile power banks, or forbidden to use. It must be due to safety considerations. We are now in the stage of seeking opinions. Feedback and actual situation to solve the problem, there will be a formal document issued later. "The staff member said.

Later, a staff member of the Xi'an Transportation Bureau told the Beijing Youth Daily, "Subject to the final release. Don't treat this as a rule. It is now in the stage of soliciting opinions."

Many subways have suggested that during the ride

Do not use mobile power banks

At present, in the field of public transportation, airplanes have clear regulations on the use of power banks.

On August 7, 2014, the Civil Aviation Administration of China issued an announcement on the regulations for civil aviation passengers to carry "power banks". Article 5 clearly stated that "the power bank must not be used to charge electronic devices during flight. For those with a start switch The power bank should always be turned off during the flight. The above regulations also apply to the crew.”

In addition to airplanes, many subways in my country also have related appeals or suggestions on the use of mobile power banks in passengers.

A reporter from the Beijing Youth Daily inquired about previous reports and learned that in 2014, according to media reports, due to a few accidents such as sudden explosions and smoking of charging equipment in rail transit systems across the country, Guangzhou Metro suggested Passengers should not use mobile power banks on the subway.

"The subway is a crowded place. Most passengers will put them in their bags or pockets when charging. In a closed environment, it is easy to overheat the mobile power and cause damage, which can cause smoke and explosions. Once such an incident occurs, It is easy to cause panic and even endanger the personal safety of passengers and cause secondary hazards. When taking the subway, please take safety first and do not use mobile power to charge electronic devices." The report said.

In 2017, according to media reports, Shanghai Metro’s official Weibo posted a safety reminder, “The subway is a densely populated place. Passengers should try not to use mobile power banks to charge electronic devices when taking the subway to avoid accidents during the charging process. In addition, mobile power banks produced by manufacturers with quality assurance and corporate reputation should be purchased."

In 2017, Wuhan also imposed relevant restrictions on the power banks carried by passengers.

The new version of the "Catalogue of Items Prohibited by Passengers in Wuhan Rail Transit" has newly added regulations, and it is not allowed to carry power banks and lithium batteries with a total capacity of more than 20,000 mAh on the subway.

According to media reports, this standard is consistent with the capacity standard of power banks that are forbidden to be carried by plane.
