A 28-year-old man was arrested for stealing a trading card worth about 1 million yen by breaking into a store on the 6th floor from the roof of a multi-tenant building in Tokyo along the outer wall with a rope.

He said to the investigation, "I belonged to the rock climbing club when I was in high school. I did it to pay back my debt."

The person arrested was Kensuke Nakanishi, a 28-year-old office worker in Toshima Ward, Tokyo.



According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, in the early morning of the 23rd of this month, it broke into a trading card specialty store in the multi-tenant building in Higashiikebukuro, Toshima-ku, and the total amount of cards such as the popular game "Pocket Monster" and the popular manga "Yu-Gi-Oh!" , There is a suspicion that he stole more than 200,000 yen in cash.



Nakanishi allegedly tied a rope to the railing on the roof of the building, descended along the outer wall, and broke the window glass of the store on the 6th floor.



Since it was identified from the video of the security camera, he admitted to the investigation that he said, "I did it to pay back my debt. I thought that if I resell the card, it would sell well."



He also stated that he had belonged to the rock climbing club when he was in high school, so the Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the details.
