China News Service, Liuzhou, March 29 (Zhu Liurong) The China-Europe high-speed rail talent training base jointly established by Liuzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College and the European Railway Transport Union ("European Union") was unveiled on the 29th in Liuzhou City, Guangxi.

The base is committed to building a platform for China-Europe rail transit vocational education cooperation and cultivating compound railway skilled personnel.

  The inauguration ceremony was carried out in a combined online and offline mode, with railway experts from Spain and Germany participating in the form of online video.

The base will carry out in-depth and diverse cooperation and exchanges in the construction of international courses, the improvement of the ability of the teaching staff, the training of international talents, academic exchanges and research, etc., and build a new mode of international vocational education cooperation.

  It is reported that the European Union is a non-profit, multi-sectoral association established in Brussels in 2004 by European multinational enterprises and institutions. It aims to improve the competitiveness of railway freight and industry in Europe and promote the unification and implementation of railway technical standards.

At the same time, through various forms such as the EU's core city network, multi-party exchanges and cooperation platforms, and international conferences and forums, the links, exchanges and collaborations between Asian and European cities will be strengthened.

  Amoros, chairman of the European Railway Transport Union, said that in Europe's trade with China, rail transport is becoming more and more important.

At present, the alliance is working on improving the efficiency of railway transportation in Europe and Asia and reducing costs, among which talent training is the key.

It is hoped that in this cooperation, we can jointly cultivate talents in the form of teacher-student exchanges, academic seminars, lectures and forums.

  Huang Feng, president of Liuzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College, said in an interview that Guangxi has realized the normal operation of China-Europe trains, and there is a great demand for compound talents with knowledge of railway transportation and foreign trade.

As the only rail transit higher vocational college in Guangxi, the school hopes to improve the quality of talent training and the international level of vocational education through cooperation with the European Union.

  Since 2016, Liuzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College has cooperated with 24 colleges and institutions in many countries and regions along the “Belt and Road” such as Thailand, Laos, Indonesia, and Russia. Cooperation in skills training, school-enterprise cooperation, and humanities exchanges.

At present, the calibration team is cooperating with 4 cooperative colleges and universities in Thailand to carry out the construction of an overseas training base for rail transit.
