Seven tales, for the seven days of the week.

It is on this principle that the book “Contes pour bien grandir” is based, for which Tenessa Hotkins [she does not prefer to communicate under her real name] appeals to contributors.

“The first deals with tolerance, the second with inner beauty,” says the author.

The others succeed the need to be kind, to believe in your dreams, to find a job that you like, the need to sometimes question the system and the seventh not to be ashamed of who you are!

The inspiration of this 28-year-old Antiboise comes from her imagination but also from her experience.

She says: “I was born with cystic fibrosis.

When I was 12 years old, during my lung transplant, I had a stroke and internal bleeding.

It put me in an electric wheelchair, it made me become left-handed, it prevents me from being understandable on the phone ”.

Today, when she hardly writes by hand and uses applications or her computer, she is fulfilling her dream of becoming a writer, while remaining humble.

“As I like to say, if I had had to cry with every health concern, I would have drowned in my tears.

I think I'm more optimistic and I cherish life more than an average human being, that's for sure ”.

"Educate by making people dream"

Since the beginning of her life, she has struggled to introduce the people around her to what she is going through.

“I had a bad experience going back to primary school, no child wanted to come near me.

I learned it was because their parents were afraid they would catch my disease.

My mother brought in a doctor to educate about cystic fibrosis.

Overnight, all my classmates started playing with me ”.

These tales, intended for two to seven year olds, are therefore also a means of educating "while making people dream".

She says: “In a way, it's to prevent someone in the same situation as me from being alone as I could have been.

I wrote these tales to make readers smile but also so that parents can instill values in their children while having fun.

"

"Words fly away, writings remain"

In two months, Antiboise first imagined the morals, then the stories.

Then she found different illustrators for each tale, two are French, four Indonesians and two more are from the United States.

“It was important to introduce people to different styles of drawings.

I really want to make a discovery book because it is at this age that we learn best.

"

She concludes: "The words fly away, the writings remain", so it is the best way for her to transmit "these tales that count".

From May 1, it will be possible to contribute to crowdfunding in order to make your project a reality.

The book costs twenty euros.
