The Albert-René editions are lifting the veil on the Gauls' next opus.
Scheduled for October 21, the 39th volume will be titled
Asterix and the Griffon
.
It will be signed by Jean-Yves Ferri and Didier Conrad, screenwriter and designer of the last four adventures.
As stated by francetvinfo.fr, this new volume will have an exceptional circulation of more than five million copies.

If very few elements have been revealed on the plot of these new adventures, we can guess from the title that our two friends will go in search of the Griffin, legendary creature half eagle half lion.
An "epic quest strewn with pitfalls," said Jean-Yves Ferri to the news site.
This will be the very first volume of Asterix and Obelix published after the death of Albert Uderzo, who died in March 2020. “Albert trusted us to respect the values of the characters he created with René Goscinny, we will continue in his absence the mission he has entrusted to us with this new album, which we hope will delight readers, ”explained Jean-Yves Ferri and Didier Conrad.
