On March 27, the archaeological team of Wuhan University excavated at the Fenghuangzui site in Xiangyang, Hubei.

The Fenghuangzui site, a national key cultural relics protection unit, located in Longwang Town, Xiangzhou District, is the largest and highest-level central settlement site discovered in northwestern Hubei, and it is also an important Neolithic city site.

The reporter learned a few days ago that after archaeological excavations, an ancient city wall of more than 1,500 meters long, a moat with a circumference of more than 2,000 meters was discovered at the site, and a large number of pottery, stone tools and a small amount of jade were unearthed.
