On March 28, Jiangnan Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, built the world's first newly built 86,000 cubic meter ultra-large dual-fuel LPG ship for Hong Kong Hongguang Shipping Co., Ltd. and was officially named "GAS VENUS".

This marks that Jiangnan Shipbuilding continues to lead the global liquefied gas ship market, and has taken another solid step towards the creation of a global liquefied gas ship building center.

The ship has a total length of 230 meters, a design draft of 11.4 meters, a molded width of 36.6 meters, a structural draft of 12 meters, and a molded depth of 22.2 meters.

The ship is the third-generation VLGC built by Jiangnan Shipbuilding, and it is also the first ship in the world to use a shaft-mounted shaft generator and liquefied petroleum gas as a power fuel on a newly built ship.
