The tracks deserted by the athletes, the Robert-Poirier stadium in Rennes will be transformed in the next few into a vaccinodrome in order to accelerate the vaccination campaign in the Breton capital.

Located on the Villejean campus and near the CHU Pontchaillou, this mega-vaccination center will be operational during the week of April 5.

It will make it possible to carry out 1,000 injections per day with a capacity which can gradually increase in power.

It is the firefighters who will ensure its operational functioning with about thirty agents who will be mobilized on site six days a week.

Two other centers in Chantepie and Dinard

At the same time, two new vaccination centers will soon open in Ille-et-Vilaine: one in Chantepie in the premises of the Rennes geriatric center which will open in the week of April 5 and the other in Dinard, near Arthur hospital. Gardiner, which will be operational a week later.

They are added to the fifteen centers already open, such as the Salle du Liberté in Rennes.

Since the start of the vaccination campaign in Ille-et-Vilaine in January, 151,669 injections have been carried out in the department and 41,066 people have received two doses of the vaccine.

"In the coming weeks, Ille-et-Vilaine will benefit from a very significant increase in the supply of vaccine doses, which will allow a marked intensification of the vaccination campaign on our territory", indicates the prefecture.
