Speaking publicly about the rape she suffered has freed Demi Lovato

At the age of 15, Demi Lovato lost her virginity in a rape that completely devastated her.

“To have spoken about this in front of the camera and to know that people saw it, it is liberating.

It is emancipatory and liberating.

And that really lets the anger I had inside me dissolve.

Before that, I had already let go of a lot of my anger, but that was just the final touch.

Now I can really heal, ”she continued.
