The Minister of Justice Eric Dupond-Moretti said he was ready to commit to “help” Emmanuel Macron during the 2022 presidential election and “no longer excludes” from standing for a ballot under the label of his majority, in an interview to appear in the

Journal du Dimanche.

“If the president represents himself and he asks me, yes, I really want to help him.

We will have a record to defend.

I will support Emmanuel Macron or anyone, ”the minister assured the

JDD.

His support could go as far as running for a mandate under the colors of the presidential majority, added the former lawyer.

"I no longer exclude anything," he assured.

“I said that I would never become Minister of Justice;

when I was appointed, everyone kindly reminded me of it… I have never been of any coterie, I am not a trade show minister, I have always been in the field.

I want to fight ”.

"I want to show that the RN project is a sham"

Famous criminal lawyer, Eric Dupond-Moretti created a surprise by agreeing in June 2020 to become the Minister of Justice of the government of Jean Castex.

Since his arrival at Place Vendôme, he has distinguished himself by his virulent political outings against Marine Le Pen.

"I want to show that the RN project is a sham," he repeated in his interview with the

JDD.

“My software in the face of Marine Le Pen is the truth in the face of lies.

The traditional political parties have resigned, the right is running behind the RN and the left is pretending it is not a problem.

Some media have trivialized these populist speeches.

I can't resolve it ”.

Eric Dupond-Moretti also criticized Marine Le Pen for “fleeing” the debate.

"She aspires to the highest office, but she does not work and only lies", he denounced.
