After the Fujian maritime department organized a search and rescue effort, one person was successfully rescued and six crew members lost contact.

  After receiving the report of the accident, the Fujian Provincial Maritime Search and Rescue Center immediately launched an emergency plan to carry out search and rescue operations, and dispatched three maritime patrol boats of the Ningde Maritime Safety Administration "Hai Xun 08301", "Hai Xun 08313" and "Hai Xun 08303" to the scene to carry out search and rescue operations. The ship "Guoxiang 16" and other past transportation vessels and fishing boats navigating in the waters surrounding the accident were instructed to assist in the search for persons who fell into the water, and coordinated with the East China Sea Rescue Bureau and the professional forces in Ningde and Fuzhou to search and rescue the waters where the incident occurred.

The Ningde Municipal Bureau of Oceans and Fisheries and the Ningde Maritime Police also sent forces to participate in the search and rescue.

  It is understood that the "Fenghai 78" is a Fuzhou-registered aquatic product carrier with a length of 54.9 meters. It entered the port with no load at the time of the incident. There were 10 crew members on board; the "Fengyuan 68" was a Ningde-registered dry cargo ship with a length of 53.8 meters. At the time of the incident, it carried 900 tons of raw steel out of the port to Jieyang, Guangdong, with a total of 7 crew members on board.

  According to personnel from the Ningde Maritime Safety Administration who participated in the on-site search and rescue, the "Fenghai 78" ship is currently in stable condition, with a visibility of 2 nautical miles at the scene, and the search and rescue operation is still underway.

The Ningde Maritime Safety Administration issued a navigational warning, requesting passing ships to strengthen their lookout, assist in searching, and implement temporary traffic control on the waters where the incident occurred to prevent secondary accidents.
