During this spring, utilities and heavy goods vehicles registered before 1997 or bearing a crit'air 5 sticker, i.e. the most polluting ones, should have been excluded from the city center as part of the place of the Low Emission Zone (ZFE) in Toulouse, ie less than 0.5% of the fleet.

Before expanding in January to crit'air 4 utilities and heavy goods vehicles.

But the owners of these vehicles are going to have a little reprieve.

In agreement with the Toulouse Town Planning and Development Agency (AUAT), Toulouse Métropole has decided to postpone this implementation until the next school year.

The ZFE gradually set up until 2024

In the meantime, an additional evaluation of this device will be carried out.

This will involve studies and modeling which will take into account the evolution of the behavior and travel habits of inhabitants by the Air Quality Observatory.

Next June, a second consultation with the population will take place.

Detailed last December, the Low Emission Zone will have the Pink City as its perimeter, extended to the western ring road so that its impact on pollution is greater.

It should be phased in until 2024.
