The Japan Fair Trade Commission has made a voluntary improvement plan for Japan Archon due to problems such as a major contact lens manufacturer "Japan Archon" requesting retailers not to list the prices of some products in advertisements. Announced that it has been certified.

In June, the Japan Fair Trade Commission said that three companies, including Japan Archon, a major contact lens manufacturer, requested retailers not to list the prices of some contact lenses in leaflets and Internet advertisements. We have been conducting on-site inspections and investigations on suspicion of violating the Antimonopoly Act, which prohibits transactions with.

Regarding this, the Japan Fair Trade Commission announced on the 26th that it has approved a plan that includes improvement measures to prevent recurrence submitted by Alcon Japan.

The plan includes a review of compliance, including reporting the status of in-house training to the Fair Trade Commission and conducting regular audits over the next three years.

This will not issue a cease and desist order, but if no remedial action is taken, the certification will be revoked.

This procedure, in which companies voluntarily put together improvement measures, is called a "commitment procedure" and has been applied to all three major contact lens manufacturers that have undergone on-site inspections.

Alcon Japan commented, "We will responsibly carry out the plan approved this time, ensure thorough compliance, and strive to ensure the health and safety of everyone's eyes."
