Before dawn on the 26th, a train and a passenger car collided on the JR Joban Line in Tsuchiura City, Ibaraki Prefecture, and the car burned.

The train passengers and crew were not injured, but no one was found in the car and police are investigating.

After midnight on the 26th, a regular train from Shinagawa to Katsuta collided with a passenger car on the JR Joban Line in Kidamari, Tsuchiura City, Ibaraki Prefecture.



The car was dragged by the train and burned, and the fire was extinguished by the rushing fire department.



According to JR and police, the train is a 10-car train, and there were 64 passengers and crew on board, but there were no injuries.



On the other hand, no one was found in the car.



A man on the train said, "I smelled gasoline after the sound of a collision. The passengers were calm and got off the train as instructed."



According to JR, the first train has derailed, and the Joban Line has been suspended from driving between Tsuchiura Station and Hatori Station, and the number of trains has been reduced in other sections as well.



Police are looking for someone in the car, as well as investigating that a car has entered from here because the fence between the railroad tracks and the road has collapsed near the scene.
