"I say it, the vaccination of 50 years and over without comorbidity will not be done in Cannes".

This Thursday evening, the response of the Minister of Health was final, the day after the announcement by the Riviera municipality of the opening to all Cannes residents aged 50 years of appointment to be vaccinated against Covid- 19.

Olivier Véran's response was all the more dry as "the decision of the mayor of Cannes" David Lisnard (LR) was taken "without alerting either the ARS, the prefect, or even the caregivers mobilized to vaccinate" .

"Go find the people to be protected as a priority"

"The vaccination of 50 years and over without comorbidity will not be done until it has been decided at the national level and therefore not until we have not protected all the fragile and vulnerable people", added. Olivier Véran.

"I am sure that one can find in Cannes people of 85, 90 years who have not been vaccinated and who would not understand that people of more than 50 years in good health can have an appointment", he argued, preferring that "elected officials fight to go and find, at home if necessary, the people to be protected as a priority".

On Europe 1 Wednesday, the mayor of Cannes criticized the organization of the government's response to the health crisis, believing that there is "a fiasco of access to vaccines".
