Three 53-year-old men were arrested for stealing cash by visiting an elderly person's house in Tokyo under the guise of an electrician.

This technique is called "visit theft" and is occurring one after another in Tokyo and other places, and the Metropolitan Police Department is investigating that the men are suspected of being involved in about 10 cases.

According to the investigators, in November last year, he visited the house of a 93-year-old man in Koganei City, Tokyo, pretending to be an electrician, and entered the room saying "I need an inspection". There is a suspicion that he stole 10,000 yen or a cash card.



After that, the three people were withdrawing 400,000 yen in cash with the stolen cash card.



In Tokyo and the surrounding prefectures, there are a series of cases in which multiple men disguised as traders visit the housing of the elderly and steal cash, etc., which is called "visit theft".



The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating that three people are suspected of being involved in about 10 similar cases.
