People who test positive for the coronavirus on their arrival at Paris airports may be placed in solitary confinement, the Minister of the Interior announced in a decree presented this Wednesday to the Council of Ministers.

The decree specifies that the measure, which concerns the three Parisian airports, is valid until December 31.

Three measures

Within the framework of the law of February 15 extending the state of health emergency, this decree by Gérald Darmanin specifies the powers of the police chief, Didier Lallement, "in the event of serious health threats and crises".

He could thus, according to the press release from the Council of Ministers, "designate the centers to ensure vaccination on the territory of the city of Paris", "order the closure of establishments receiving the public that do not comply with the applicable obligations (attendance gauge , curfew times and barrier gestures) and issue isolation orders for people who test positive on their arrival at the airport ”.
