The series also plans to talk about the Wisconsin authorities, who have had "at least 10 times the opportunity to apprehend" Jeffrey Dahmer, but let him go.

Cannibalism, necrophilia and memories

The ten-part series will retrace the chaotic childhood of the serial killer, then the 13 years in which he killed men without being worried.

His first known crime was that of Steven Hicks, a 19-year-old hitchhiker, in 1978, when he was 18 years old.

Jeffrey Dahmer, who had joined the military at the time of his first murder after falling into alcoholism as a teenager, was arrested in 1991, and convicted of 17 murders, mostly African-American men, including he raped the body after killing them and before dismembering them.

He also tried to lobotomize some of his victims and kept “memories”, such as their skulls or their genital attributes.

He also admitted to eating parts of his victims and has been dubbed the cannibal of Milwaukee, the city where he was born.

Jeffrey Dahmer died in 1994, killed by an inmate in prison where he was serving 16 life sentences.
