According to the Union Syndicale des Pharmaciens de Pharmacy (Uspo), approximately 1.4 million people are registered on waiting lists in pharmacies to be vaccinated against Covid-19, mostly between 55 and 74 years old, with comorbidities.

From an internal survey that collected more than 2,500 responses, Gilles Bonnefond, president of Uspo, extrapolated that around 900,000 people aged 55 to 74 with co-morbidities and 500,000 people over 75 were on the list. 'waiting in a pharmacy.

Reluctant patients at AstraZeneca

Pharmacists have been authorized to prescribe and inject Covid-19 vaccines since March 5.

When they first ordered vaccines, just over 18,400 of them volunteered to vaccinate and 36,100 vials of AstraZeneca were ordered.

According to the Inspo survey, more than 67% of pharmacies noted that some patients had given up being vaccinated with AstraZeneca after the suspension announcements: between 0 and 5 patients for 40% of these pharmacies and between 5 and 10 for 31.72%.

Uspo also notes that 90% of pharmacists who responded to the survey said they were ready to vaccinate with messenger RNA vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna) in their dispensary.

The survey also reveals that 75% of pharmacies no longer have in their refrigerators any vaccine reserved for doctors.
