Legions of nostalgic people who played the console during the 80s will be attracted by this new theme park inspired by Super Mario Bros that, after several delays, finally opens its doors this week in the Japanese city of

Osaka

.

It will also conquer your children, of course, since the new

Super Nintendo World

is designed to conquer fans of all ages.

The park, within the Universal Studios of the Japanese city, is a

real-scale

recreation

of different scenarios of the mythical video game starring Mario, Luigi and the rest of the characters.

Among the most anticipated attractions is a

go-kart circuit

that emulates the company's famous races.

Of course, you don't have to be an expert at the wheel (or at the control of the console) to enjoy this attraction, but rather let yourself be surprised by an

immersive

and psychedelic

world

of augmented reality.

The original opening of the park was planned in 2020 to coincide with the

35th anniversary

of the launch of the Super Mario Bros game, which went on sale in Japan on September 13, 1985. Like so many other things, it was delayed by the pandemic until February this year, when it had to be postponed again until now.

Some of the details of the park were revealed months ago by the same "father of Mario",

Shigeru Miyamoto

, but these days before the inauguration on Thursday all kinds of

spoilers

are already circulating

on social networks.

Yoshi's adventure seems to be another of the star attractions.

In it, the visitor rides on the little dinosaur in what appears to be a journey inside the video game.

Universal Studios Japan will be the first theme park in the world to host attractions related to the company, although similar ones are expected to open in the future in places such as

California and Orlando (USA) and Singapore.
