  The black langur is a national first-level protected wild animal. It was identified as an endangered species by the World Conservation Union in 2008. At present, there are only more than 2,000 wild black langurs in the world, living in Vietnam and China's Guizhou, Guangxi, Chongqing and other places.

Of these, 1,500 live in China.

As it grows slowly, the fluff gradually turns black.

Recently, as long as the weather is clear, the female black langur will carry the baby monkey to the tree for food and gnaw on the green branches and leaves.

  It is understood that currently, there are 72 groups of about 544 black langurs living in the Mayang River Nature Reserve along the river in Guizhou.

In recent years, the nature reserve has strictly controlled human activities in the black langur activity area, reduced disturbance to its habitat, and adopted measures such as artificial feeding at designated locations and dedicated management and protection.
