The live press conference that Göran Lambertz held in his garden, shortly after he was released from prison, was broadcast live by several media, including SVT and Expressen.

Lambertz uses his solid knowledge and special position to completely destroy a plaintiff.

And it does not happen in a courtroom ", writes Veckorevyn's editor-in-chief Irena Pozar in Expressen.

Journalist Annika Hamrud has a hard time imagining a media ethics "bigger piano tramp" on Twitter.

Journalist and author Lisa Bjurwald is also critical.

- What went wrong is that this is a very powerful and influential man who is already in a superior position towards the plaintiff and who then has to direct a press conference in his own garden, she says.

The most problematic thing according to Bjurwald is that it was a live broadcast, which means that the media can not control what is said and broadcast.

The broadcast was interrupted at different times by different media.

Then it is not enough that journalists in the studio subsequently problematize Lambertz's statements, says Lisa Bjurwald, who plans to report the incident to the Review Board.

Self-critical media

Charlotta Friborg, SVT Riksnyheter's program manager, is self-critical.

She writes in a blog post that the press conference "had great news value and it was the right decision to let Lambertz give his view on the process.

But it was a misjudgment to let him speak freely in a live broadcast ".

- I think that the criticism of my decision to broadcast this live is justified, says Charlotta Friborg to Kulturnyheterna.

Friborg also believes that she should have realized that "Lambertz could use the opportunity for littering".

The broadcast will continue to be available on SVT Play but some statements will be edited away and the broadcast will be provided with an explanatory text.

Expressen's editor-in-chief Klas Granström also wishes that his newspaper had handled the press conference differently.

- Statements were made and information came that we should not have published, he says to the newspaper Journalisten.

At the time of publication of this article, the Review Board has received ten reports of the incident.
