According to Chiba Prefecture, five men and women under the age of 10 to 60s who live in the prefecture have been newly confirmed to be infected with the mutant virus.



Of these, two girls under the age of 10 and one man in their 60s are the families of people who have been confirmed to be infected with a mutant virus cluster that occurred in a store where karaoke can be played during the day.



In addition, one man in his twenties and one woman in his fifties were found to be infected with the mutant virus by a random sampling test conducted by the prefecture.



On the 24th, the five newly found people have no history of contact with an unspecified number of people, and their condition is mild or asymptomatic, so detailed examinations will be conducted at the National Institute of Infectious Diseases in the future.



With this, the total number of people infected with the mutant virus announced by Chiba Prefecture is 42.



In addition, according to Chiba Prefecture, out of 699 newly confirmed new coronavirus-infected persons in the prefecture until the 23rd, 174 people, which is about 25%, were randomly selected and tested. As a result, 15 people were infected with the mutant virus.
