Former “Tagesschau” head spokesman Jan Hofer is starting a new career at RTL.

The 69-year-old will be anchorman of a new weekly news program on the private broadcaster's main evening program, as RTL announced on Wednesday.

According to its own information, the Cologne-based broadcaster is thus expanding its range of news around the flagship “RTL Aktuell”.
