Government and communities analyze hardening the Easter plan before the rebound of the coronavirus

The Government and the autonomous communities meet again this afternoon concerned about the incipient rebound in

coronavirus

infections

at the gates of Holy Week, which will put on the table the relevance of

tightening restrictions even more

to try to avoid the dreaded fourth wave.

Although the Interterritorial Council of the National Health System approved a series of coordinated actions for the San José Bridge and Holy Week a couple of weeks ago to stop the expansion of the

coronavirus

, these days the Government has not ruled out that others may be added.

When the effects of the bridge have not yet been noticed in the curve, and while several European countries have decreed

harsh confinements

for Easter, the Minister of Health, Carolina Darias, has left the door open to rethink

anticovid measures in the

face of this change in trend .

And it is that the plan agreed with the communities - which contemplated, among others, the perimeter closure, the night curfew from 11 p.m., limitations on social gatherings of between 4 and 6 people and prohibition of encounters between non-cohabitants in homes - it was "a minimum agreement" to which the autonomies can add "more restrictive measures".
