According to Chiba Prefecture, 10 men and women in their teens to 80s who live in the prefecture have been newly confirmed to be infected with the mutant virus.
The prefecture has announced that 20 people, including customers, employees, and their families, have been infected with the mutant virus at a restaurant where they can karaoke during the day when a cluster of mutant viruses has occurred.
As a result of the prefecture's investigation into close contacts, it was announced that seven new people were infected with the mutant virus, including the family members of the customers of this restaurant and those who contacted at another facility.
In addition to this, as a result of a random survey by prefectures and others regarding people who have been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus, it was confirmed that three new people were infected with the mutant virus.
None of the 10 people who were newly confirmed to be infected with the mutant virus had a history of staying abroad or contact with an unspecified number of people.
As a result, a total of 37 people have been confirmed to be infected with the mutant virus in Chiba Prefecture.
