The video has counted more than 100,000 views since Thursday, sparking legitimate outrage on social networks.
We see a group of five young men attacking a victim on the ground, one of them including a violent kick.
The scene took place last Thursday, cours de la Marne in Bordeaux.

The site Rodéo Bordeaux, which relayed the video on Twitter Friday, affirms that it is about a "savage assault" against "a young woman of English nationality beaten for her bag and her phone" and who would have been took place last Thursday, at the corner of Cours de la Marne and Rue Chantre.

, the Bordeaux prosecutor's office confirms that the police are indeed reporting an assault last Thursday at this location.
But he indicates that “the victim is not a woman as the video indicates, but a man.
"It is about a Briton," victim of a villainous theft since a backpack and a pregnant were stolen from him.

The victim was hospitalized for a few hours at Saint-André hospital in Bordeaux before coming out.
An investigation is underway to try to find the perpetrators, led by the Bordeaux police services.
