A total of 4717 people have been confirmed to be infected in Gifu prefecture.
Gifu Prefecture also announced that a man in his 70s in Kani City, who had been hospitalized at a medical institution, died on the 21st after being infected with the new coronavirus.
The number of infected people who died in Gifu prefecture is 121.
