  In an exclusive interview with reporters on the 21st, Huang Guofu said frankly that he wanted to encourage more people to love life, especially the disabled, so that they could live with more dignity.

  Huang Guofu is a member of the Chongqing Artists Association and also a member of the International Mouth and Foot Painting Art Association. This global international organization currently has only 5 members in China. They have lost their arms, but their mouth and foot painting skills have reached a high level.

  Huang Guofu was born in Tongnan District, Chongqing City in 1970. He lost his arms at the age of 4 and did not enter elementary school until the age of 12.

Campus life makes Huang Guofu curious about everything, especially comics.

He tried to practice painting with his feet, and spent all nights and sleeps for this reason.

  At the age of 18, Huang Guofu's father was seriously ill. As the eldest of the family, he shouldered family responsibilities and went to the central city of Chongqing alone to sell pictures on the streets to supplement his family.

"I was young, and many people looked around me with pitiful eyes. I was timid and wanted to hide." Huang Guofu recalled that it was the first time he was watched.

  The life of selling paintings on the streets lasted for more than 10 years. Huang Guofu's footprints spread all over Beijing, Guangzhou, Hangzhou and other places. During this period, he insisted on studying constantly. “Set up a stall on sunny days, and go to the local Xinhua Bookstore to read art books on rainy days. In your pocket, find someone to comment".

  To make a living, Huang Guofu started to paint with his mouth when he was 27 years old.

It is much more difficult to paint with your mouth than with your feet. Huang Guofu practiced for several months just holding a brush to control his saliva. After half a year, the brush started to spin freely in his mouth, showing frustrations and flanking skills.

So far, the average price of his single painting and calligraphy works has exceeded 10,000 yuan.

Among the 30 published works, there are not only the artistic expression of Huang Guofu's writing with his mouth and his feet, but also the daily life of using his feet to chop vegetables and make tea.

  "Nine out of ten things are unsatisfactory in life. Everyone sees that I am optimistic and positive, which is what I want to pass on." Huang Guofu said.

  At the age of fifty, Huang Guofu not only cares about hot social topics such as "poverty alleviation" and "youth education", but also pays attention to the trivial matters such as the travel of the disabled group and life security.

He believes that "to remove the roots of poverty, we must change from an ideological perspective", and believes that the important thing is to "focus on ideological and cultural poverty alleviation."

  Huang Guofu is also enthusiastic about public welfare and has been invited to give lectures in special education schools all over the country. In 2015, he donated 1 million yuan to help build a teaching building in Taohuawan Primary School in Shitou Township, Yulong County, Lijiang City, Yunnan Province; he has now received 60 apprentices of mouth and foot painting The rest are from all over the country.
