The "mouthfuls" are heady but funny phrases.

  • To break the gloom of the time, Toulousaine Hanaé Lecasio released a book on tongue twisters, which she renamed “mouths breaker”.

  • These are phrases that are difficult to repeat without making mistakes, such as “Sixteen chairs are drying out”, for example.

  • Part of the profits from the book will be donated to an association that helps students.

Try repeating sentences such as "Sixteen hyacinths are drying in sixteen sachets" or "It's a dish full of flat pasta" several times, faster and faster but always distinctly.

Impossible ?

However, these are two of the easiest tongue twisters proposed by Toulousian Hanaé Lecasio in her book

Casse bouche, welcome to the land of laughter

.

“I did a lot of research to find the funniest ones, I created some too,” explains this 49-year-old freelance corrector.

I had the idea to rename them "junk food" to modernize the term and reach a fairly large audience.

Another example, taken from the news: "Macron automatically chews a Machiavellian macaroon and a masterful madeleine".

Usually, Hanaé Lecasio tracks down dumplings in student memoirs or books before publication.

Nothing like this in his self-published work, available now in bookstores on order or on the Internet, at a price of 5.65 euros.

The click of the second confinement

“You shouldn't expect literature,” she admits without concern.

The goal is to take it out in the evening and have a good time.

With tongue twisters, we stammer, and it inevitably ends in giggles.

Repeat more and more quickly "Cooked prune, raw prune"… At one point, things get out of hand!

"

Hanaé Lecasio had this astonishing idea at the time of the second confinement, this fall.

“I found the period really gloomy, and I just wanted to read or watch funny things.

Teacher friends have also inspired me.

They really like to start the day with tongue twisters, and kindergarten kids love them.

"

A few months later, even in an Occitania that has not yet been reconfigured, the atmosphere is still not good.

Especially not for students, whose proofreader, mother of an 18-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl, knows the issues.

“My book is meant to be light and funny, but part of the profits will go to the Agemp [General Student Association of Midi-Pyrénées] which does a lot of things for young people, many of whom find themselves in a precarious situation.

"

Zozoter, "digging" ...

Also, Hanaé Lecasio made the song of Alain Chamfort

Souris his own since it is serious

.

She classified more than 230 "mouth junkies" by themes: to zozoter, sputter, "dig" ... Attention, the mask is mandatory before attacking sentences such as "If six spams spam six spammers, six spammers will be spammed" or "Three raw crabs grow, three cooked crabs cry".

Tongue twisters are mostly in French, but they can be found in English (“Biden blows big blue bubbles”) or in Spanish.

Like the dreaded "Me trajo tajo tres trajes" with the "jota" which has traumatized generations of Hispanisers.

In French, it gives "he brought me three suits", which makes the oral organ work much less.

“I am pleasantly surprised by the first feedback,” says the author.

I hope that will relax people, and why not that battles will be organized, on TikTok for example.
