Qi Baishi, who "portrays all insects and expresses the spirit of a hundred birds", is well-known to the public for painting shrimps. The "Qi Bai Graphite Pen Frog, Fish, Shrimp and Crab Picture Screen" in this exhibition has shrimps that Qi Baishi is good at painting.

According to reports, when Qi Baishi painted the shrimp, he would use the characteristic of not drying the ink. Add a heavy ink to the head of the shrimp to give the shrimp body a sense of transparency in the water, and then use two horizontal lines to draw out the eyes of the shrimp. Let the shrimp "live" so that the shrimps in his pen are vivid and natural.
