With the first rays of sunshine and daffodil blossoms, spring is approaching and Easter is not far away either.

Even if this year it might amount to a virtual visit to the zoo with friends and relatives, with a little creativity you can give the festival something special in your own nest.

The preparation alone initiates the productive start of the festivities - from decorating to getting small gifts for loved ones.

We have put together some inspiration for this here.

Bake or make chocolate yourself

The easiest option remains to fill Easter nests with the good old chocolate eggs.

But why did you become a hobby cook or banana bread expert during the pandemic if you don't use the new arts at Easter?

The most down-to-earth variant, whether with children or alone, would be to bake classic shortcrust biscuits with an Easter glaze.

You don't even have to reuse the Christmas cutters with reindeer motifs, of course there are also suitable motifs for Easter.

Anyone who has an afternoon to kill will find a good way to pass the time baking cookies.

The supreme discipline among homemade Easter sweets is the chocolate bar from your own kitchen.

What sounds complicated is now available in an easy-to-use “Do It Yourself” set for novice chocolatiers.

All that is needed is a stove and water.

Almond flour, cocoa powder, cocoa butter, agave syrup, melting bowl, thermometer and chocolate mold are included in the “Pure Xocolate” package.

The ingredients are 100 percent organic, a recipe book is also included and the whole process takes no longer than half an hour.

Sustainable neon for a good mood

A good mood begins on the nails

????????

Pretty much everyone has missed out on beauty rituals in the past few months.

To slowly return to the "socializing" mode, it is a good start to resume your rituals.

The hands, which are stressed by frequent disinfection, could be a good starting point.

After the manicure, you can also lift your mood with colorful varnishes.

We particularly recommend the “Green” collection from the French brand Manucurist, which is made without the nine conventional nail polish ingredients.

The varnishes care for with natural extracts from potatoes, wheat, cassava, corn and cotton and are not tested on animals.

And since Easter, when nature wakes up again from its hibernation, is the time of a new beginning, we too can reawaken the joy of giving away in spring with a little Easter surprises.

For example with a gigantic, colorful Easter egg from Rituals.

A little pampering routine from popular home and body care products is hidden in the egg.

Hasdeko is also stylish - eggs anyway

When you think of rabbit ears, you inevitably have Hugh Heffner's mansion on your mind.

Young design brands such as the Swedish label Jotex and AM Design prove that a rabbit decoration does not necessarily have to be reminiscent of a Playboy.

Discreetly kept in black and white, the ears suddenly seem neither childlike nor like a playmate, but actually as a skillful gimmick for every interior fan.

The material felt also had to struggle with a bad image in the past, even if that related more to eco than to playmates.

Today you come across it more and more on stylish interior blogs and Instagram accounts.

First as carpets, then as pillow cases - and now as an alternative to classic egg decorations.

These decorative balls are handmade by small rural businesses in Nepal and are made from sustainable, felted wool.

For the Easter table

Yes, at Easter it's time to bring spring into your home.

That is why wreaths, painted eggs and small nests move in with us every year at this time.

They look particularly stylish in shades of pink and green, but puristic elements made of wood or concrete are also very popular this year.

And even if the classic Easter brunch has to take place in small groups this year, you can use the opportunity for stylish table wear.

Eggnog belongs on the table too, preferably homemade.

For example, according to this recipe of six egg yolks, 80 g powdered sugar, 350 ml cream, a vanilla pod and 250 ml white rum. Whisk together the vanilla pulp, egg yolk and powdered sugar.

Stir in the cream and rum.

Whip everything over a hot water bath for six to eight minutes, until the mixture is hot and thick, it must not boil.

Fill the finished egg liqueur into bottles.

Looking forward to better weather

The short spring high in February was an exception, the weather forecasts point to a very frosty Easter this year.

Even though a holiday picnic might not be feasible, the right basket is a good investment.

Ready-packed with cutlery and crockery for four people, it stirs up anticipation for the warm days - and until then it looks chic as a piece of furniture in its retro look.

Easter fashion that is fun for the rest of the year

After months in the home office and in lockdown, spring makes you want to buy something new in your closet again.

How practical that a few collections are not only inspired by Easter themes, but are still wearable in the months to come.

For example the luxurious “Egg-Bag” from Rochas, the “Carrot” collection from the Milanese jewelery label Aliita or the cute leather bunnies from MCM, which can be found on bags and cell phone cases.

A classic that is reminiscent of an Easter basket with its bast look, but will not go out of style in the next few seasons, is the “Marmont” summer edition by Gucci.

If someone gets to write a wish list for Easter, here are a few ideas.
