China News Service, Beijing, March 20th (Reporter Ying Ni) March 20th is World Children and Youth Drama Day.

The "Blooming Sail" theme wall sculpture of the China Children's Art Theater was unveiled on the 20th, and it may become one of the "check-in places" for children from all over the country to travel in Beijing.

The "Blooming Sail" theme wall sculpture created by the director of the National Art Museum of China and the famous sculptor Wu Weishan is cast in bronze as a whole, with a width of 6.3 meters and a height of 2.56 meters.

The sculpture uses scenes from the two dramas "Ma Lanhua" and "The Treasure Ship" as materials and blends together to form a scene of "the sun and the moon are in the same glory" and "the sea and the sky are one color". The audience had an "immersion" experience and took photos with them.

As a classic play of China Children's Art Theater, "Ma Lanhua" and "Treasure Ship" have accompanied the growth of several generations and witnessed the prosperity and development of China's children's drama industry. They are known as the "One Flower, One Boat" of China Children's Art Theater.

Wu Weishan introduced the original intention and creative concept of this work.

He said that children are the flowers and the future of the motherland. He is happiest to be able to create sculptures for Chinese children's art and create sculptures for children.

"Blooming Set Sail" is cast in bronze and incorporates the theme of the classic repertoire of the China Children's Art Theatre. I hope that Chinese children's art and children who love children's dramas will always bloom their lives like a horse orchid and set sail like a treasure ship.

Feng Li, the director of China Children's Art Theater, said that this year marks the 60th anniversary of the inscription of "China Children's Theater" by Mr. Soong Ching Ling and the 65th anniversary of the founding of China Children's Art Theater.

For more than sixty years, generations of artists have worked hard here, all for the hope of the children and set sail in life.

Sculpture is the closest to eternity of all art forms.

It is believed that this loving and childlike art work of Mr. Wu Weishan, together with the drama work of China Children's Art Theater, will become a wonderful childhood memory of countless children.

The "Blooming Sail" theme wall sculpture is located on the front facade of the Chinese Children's Theater.

This theater full of Western architectural art style was built in 1921 and has a history of one hundred years.

It used to be the first true light movie theater, drama master Mei Lanfang and others often performed here; in 1924, the first oriental writer to win the "Nobel Prize for Literature"-Tagore's three Beijing lectures during his trip to China were also there. It was held here; it was once the "Beijing Theater", where many classic dramas were staged.

Today it is the home of China Children's Art Theater.

The "Blooming Sail" theme wall sculpture unveiled on the 20th has officially become a brand new part of this century-old building.
