Coronavirus: Most of the announcements of Jean Castex and Olivier Véran

The executive announced on Thursday new restrictions to try to curb the "third wave" of the Covid-19 epidemic, which will "hit very hard" until mid-April, according to Emmanuel Macron.

The Prime Minister announced a confinement seven days a week in 16 departments from this Friday midnight and for four weeks.

These are the eight departments of Ile-de-France (Paris, Seine-et-Marne, Yvelines, Essonne, Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis, Val-de- Marne, Val-d'Oise), the five departments of Hauts-de-France (Aisne, Nord, Oise, Pas-de-Calais, Somme), as well as Alpes-Maritimes, Seine-Maritime and Eure.

To find out more about this confinement, which will not be "like in March 2020", it's here.

AstraZeneca injections will resume

His opinion was eagerly awaited.

On Thursday, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) deemed the AstraZeneca vaccine against Covid-19 "safe and effective", while several European countries had suspended on Monday, as a precaution, the administration of this vaccine after the report potentially serious side effects.

France will resume its vaccination program with this serum on Friday afternoon, Jean Castex announced Thursday evening.

Friday morning, the High Authority for Health "will update its recommendation regarding the AstraZeneca vaccine, so that we can resume immediately in the wake, from tomorrow afternoon, the vaccination campaign", declared the Prime Minister.

Facebook unveils a prototype to (almost) control the machine by thinking

According to Facebook, this is the future of the human-machine interface.

On Thursday, the company unveiled a prototype bracelet that decodes neural signals at the wrist using electromyography (EMG).

According to the company, the signals are "so clear" that its system is able "to understand finger gestures of the order of a millimeter".

And allow us to manipulate virtual objects or "click" to validate an appointment that is displayed in augmented reality on its future smart-glasses.

Eventually, it shouldn't even be necessary to move them anymore: just intending to do so will be enough.
