After announcing new containment measures for sixteen departments, including the Alpes-Maritimes, the Prime Minister canceled his visit to Nice.
Jean Castex was to come and sign this Friday the recovery and ecological transition plan for the Nice Côte d'Azur metropolis.
The two politicians "exchanged and agreed that the absolute priority was to mobilize the State in the face of the Covid-19 epidemic", communicated the town hall.
She specifies: "Christian Estrosi asked the Prime Minister to cancel the confinement if the incidence rate in the Alpes-Maritimes were to drop below the bar of 400 positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants".
The Prime Minister "took note" of this request, assures the City.
Thursday evening, the incidence rate stood at 418 confirmed cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the department.
The national average is 266.
