The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has decided to suspend the use of the communication app "LINE" for the time being regarding the confirmation of health status after entering Japan, which is being carried out as a measure against the border of the new coronavirus.

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare asks people who have entered Japan from overseas to wait for 14 days at home, etc., and then uses LINE and email to check for symptoms such as fever and coughing.

This time, in response to the fact that the personal information of LINE users can be accessed by the Chinese company outsourced, the use of LINE will be suspended for the time being from the 20th.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, "We can continue to check for fever by e-mail, so there will be no impact on border measures."
